System Shock Has Gone Gold – PC Requirements Detailed

After several delays, Nightdive Studios has now confirmed that System Shock has gone gold and the date is set for May 30th. In addition, we also got minimum and recommended requirements for the remake. The remake of the original game, which was originally announced back in March 2016, is planned to release on the PC, as well as PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One and Series X/S, but so far, only the PC version launch date is confirmed.

In case you missed it earlier, the remake of System Shock will feature new visuals, updated controls and interface, all new sounds and music, and more. The PC version will beavailable on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, and those that pre-ordered the game will get a free copy of the upcoming System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition.

Nightdive Studios also revealed the first PC requirements, and so far, it does not look half bad, as the recommended requirements include an Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 CPU, 8 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4 GB or AMD Radeon R9 290 4 GB graphics card. It will also need 2 GB of storage space.

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 2 GB available space

RECOMMENDED

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better
