Taken from Videocardz …Â The company announced their AMD B550 based Mini-PC that works even without integrated graphics.
The B550 PC is bundled with the mounting dock for an external full-sized discrete graphics card and SFF power supply. The Mini-PC has an exposed PCI-Express 3.0 slot, which after being attached to the dock works with external GPUs.
Users can therefore choose between buying, for instance, Ryzen 5 5600G and Ryzen 5 5600X, however, the latter option will require a discrete GPU.
By giving two options, this solution is somewhat a hybrid between a Mini-PC and a typical desktop system. It can either be powered by bundled 19V power supply if the discrete GPU is not attached or alternatively powered by ATX or SFX (12V) power supply.
Minisforum confirms that their Mini-PC supports up to 65W TDP CPU, which includes Ryzen 5000G series and some Ryzen 5000X SKUs, such as 5600X. It will be up to customers to decide what PSU they need, the company claims that 600W of power will be needed for a 5600X enabled system.
Official renders come to feature Radeon RX 6700XT GAMING OC by Gigabyte, which has a TDP of 230W.
