Corsair Voyager Laptop will feature AMD’s Smart Access Storage Technology

Is it another rumor? Is Corsair really going in to the gaming laptop market? The Corsair Voyager Laptop could feature a Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU and Radeon RX 6800M graphics. This all exciting news 😀

Taken from Videocardz … According to our information, AMD is now preparing a new technology called Smart Access Storage (SAS). Unfortunately, we do not have details on the technology itself, but we were told it is coming to Corsair Voyager laptop soon.

This laptop, which would be Corsair’s first gaming notebook, is now scheduled to launch in June. What this means is that the Computex 2022 keynote might be the time when we hear more about this technology.

Smart Access Storage might somehow refer to the implementation of Microsoft DirectStorage API, which is a hardware-accelerated decompression technology. More than a year since it was announced, the technology has finally become available on PCs in March. Soon after that, a first gaming demo was shown. This technology greatly improves loading times for games. It has been successfully used on Xbox Series consoles since they were available in 2020.

When it comes to the Corsair laptop, this is probably the same device that was leaked months ago as “Corsair Xenomorph”. It is reportedly equipped with Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU and Radeon RX 6800M graphics, so all-AMD hardware.
