ASRock Are Preparing A520 Motherboards for Ryzen Processors

What? Another chipset for AMD Ryzen processors? Well, this one is aimed at the low-end/entry-level market and should be super affordable.

Taken from Videocardz …The A520 chipset has not yet been announced by AMD despite previously releasing some initial information. The A520 is an entry-level chipset designed with the Ryzen 3/Atlhon processor series in mind.

Unlike the X570 and B550, the A520 does not have PCIe 4.0 support. The I/O connections are limited to 6 PCIe Gen3 lanes, 4 SATA, and 9 USBs. Similar to the A320 series, the new models won’t support overclocking.

ASRock has at least twelve motherboards coming with this chipset. Interestingly enough, all of the A520 motherboards are either Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX form factor. This is due to the fact that the chipset does not support more lanes anyway, so adding extra ones wouldn’t be practical.
