Our sister site Funky Kit published a review of the ASRock Radeon RX 7600 Phantom Gaming 8GB OC Graphics Card … you can check out the full review here.

So what do we think of the ASRock Radeon RX 7600 Phantom Gaming OC graphics card? Well, we all know the RX 7600 is the entry-level in the Radeon 7000 series of graphics card, and with that in mind, you can’t expect anything too much from it.

During our tests, we used our usual test rig, which is comprised of an AMD Rzyen 7 7800X3D and ASRock B650E Taichi Lite motherboard, along with 32GB of DRR5-6200 ram. With everything set on AUTO or Default, we got some decent scores in most of our benchmarks, including a score of 9096 for BaseMark GPU. For Unigine’s Valley benchmark, we got a score of of 4.204, and a Final Fantasy benchmark score of 9,786.

For Superposition 1080p extreme and optimized 4K, we got decent scores of 6,377 and 7,740 respectively. For 3DMark Timespy and Firestrike, it produced a score of 11,383 and 28,107 respectively. And finally, for Speedway and Port Royal, it produce a decent score of 2,000 and 5,674 respectively. And lastly, we got a AMD FSR 2 score score of 58.48 fps and a Passmark 10 GPU score of 20,918.

Based on the scores above, the overall performance of the card isn’t too bad, but nothing to really shout out about. What is good to know, is that the card features a factory-overclocked GPU with a Boost Clock speed of up to 2,755 MHz (the default is 2655 Mhz), while the Game Clock speed running at 2,355 MHz (default is 2250 Mhz). And this should be more than enough to play the latest games at 1080p resolutuion with no issues.

For cooling, the card uses the impressive Phantom Gaming 3X Cooling System featuring a large heatsink with 5 heatpipes (2 front/3 rear), a stylish metal backplate (with thermal pads), and 3 Striped Axial fans. It’s plenty enough to cool the graphics card with an overclocked GPU. Full load temperatures of GPU and hot spot reached a high of 64 degrees and 90 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Monitor output includes 3 x DisplayPorts v2.1 and 1 x HDMI 2.1 port. Remember, if you have a monitor what supports FreeSync, make sure you use a high quality DisplayPort cable (1.4 minimum), and remember to enable FreeSync on the Adrenalin Software, otherwise you won’t be getting all the benefits of the graphics card or monitor.

Final Thoughts

If you’re after 4K gaming or even 1440p gaming, then this card isn’t really for you. However, if you’re on a budget but play a lot of games in 1080p resolution, then the ASRock Radeon RX 7600 Phantom Gaming OC could be the right choice for you.

Buy the ASRock Radeon RX 7600 graphics card for around USD $290 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3Z6Eg8V
