ASRock X570 PG Velocita Motherboard Review

The Box and Packaging

You get the usual box and packaging from ASRock. You’ll find a quick installation guide, software setup guide, 2 packs of SATA cables (pair), 2 x M.2 screws and mounts, and WIFI antenna for your WIFI6.

There’s also an ASRock envelope which contains all the usual ASRock stickers, post cards, velcro cable straps and drivers disc.

The ASRock X570 PG Velocita Motherboard

I like the matte black and red design of the motherboard, as well as the XXL Aluminum Alloy Heatsink and built-in flexible I/O shield.

The two heatsinks for the M.2 slots are separate, which means it’s much easier to access and install your M.2 SSDs without having to remove a large full coverage heatsink, unlike on some motherboards.

A Closer Look

The motherboard comes packed with a load of expansion slots including … 8 x SATA ports, 2 x PCIE 3.0 x16 slot, 3 x PCIE 4.0 x1 slots, 2 x PCIE 4.0 M.2 slot for SSDs, and 4 x DIMM slots supporting memory speeds of up to DDR4 5000+ (O.C.).

I also like the onboard power-on/off and reset buttons, as well as the diagnostic LEDs, and of course the included active fan for cooling the X570 chipset.

For connectivity, on the rear I/O panel, you’ll find BIOS flashback button, 2 connectors for your WIFI antenna,  DisplayPort, HDMI, 4 x USB 3.2 Gen1, USB 3.2 Gen2 (Rear Type A+C, Front Type-C, Killer 2.5GB LAN, some more USB 3.2 connectors, and the usual array of connectors for HD audio.
